Growing competition and limited seats in the best MBBS colleges/Universities in India is making students who want to pursue MBBS degree in India to be difficult. Many private colleges in India provide an M.B.B.S degree but the quality of education students may expect is not that great as compared to the top colleges of India. Instead of going there for the degree many Indian students prefer to study abroad and get their hard-earned degrees from other countries. The main advantage of studying abroad, for example, pursuing MBBS in China which is considered to have one of the best colleges providing an MBBS degree in the world, students get to know about the country’s culture in depth in addition to the quality education students get from their universities.

So, If you want to pursue MBBS abroad then you must follow these instructions to get admission in your desired foreign university:-

Minimum Age For Applying

You should be at least 17 years old or must be turning 17 by 31st December of a year of admission. For Example, if you are applying for the admission in 2020 then you must be turning 17 by 31st December 2019.

Marks Requirement

For applying for universities outside India there is a minimum aggregate mark required for different categories:-

  • General category – an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Bio & English(Compulsory subject).
  • SC/ST/OBC category – an aggregate of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Bio & English(Compulsory subject).

Medical Council of India (MCI) Rules

To study MBBS in any other country student requires an eligibility certificate from the MCI. The eligibility certificate can be directly downloaded from the MCI website.

For applying for MCI certificate following documents are required:-

  • Four-color photos
  • 10th mark sheet
  • 11th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet
  • Admission letter of College/University
  • Caste certificate (If Required)
  • Passport Of Student

One thing here to be noted that recently MCI has passed a rule on age limit for applying for abroad studies. The age cap kept for the MBBS degree is set at 25 years of age. So if you are above 25 years old you cannot practice medicine in India and abroad.

Studying MBBS out of the country also depends on the country you are applying for, like Ilets and Tofel marks depends on the country you select for the MBBS program for example for China, Russia, and many more countries do not ask for these scores. Now NEET score that is at least cut-off marks is necessary to get admission to any of the universities outside India.
